About Us
Our History
Originally a corner store, the building that houses Quality Tire Co. has been a staple in the local community since the 1970's. After many years and a few changes, Quality Tire was opened in the early 1990's by original owner, Bobby and his wife Athelda. Despite the name Quality Tire, a large, blue Cooper Tires sign was placed out front which led many locals to begin calling it "Cooper Tire".
In 2013, Bobby sold Quality Tire to a gentleman named Ross. Realizing how the community referred to the tire shop, the name was changed to Cooper Tires and Brakes. However, the old Quality Tire sign still hung on the brick facade.
Our Future
In October 2022, Tyler, a Coast Guard Veteran, and Olivia, a local REALTOR ® with Palmetto Elite Group, CarolinaOne Real Estate, wanted to take on a new challenge. The husband-and-wife duo came across an ad online for a tire shop and jumped at the opportunity. The deal was settled and Tyler and Olivia became the new owners of the tire shop as of February 2023. Their admiration of the history and inspiration from the original name led them to name the shop "Quality Tire Co."
Tyler and Olivia strive to update and bring Quality Tire Co. into the future. As a staple in the community for so many years, Tyler and Olivia want to keep the nostalgia while updating some of the looks and functionality to be able to provide the local community with quality services at affordable prices for many years to come.
